Articles Reiki and Qi Gong. Copyright © 2000 Kevin Farrow Harmonics compatibility with other systems. see also the article - The Quality of Energy Energy can resonate at many different frequencies depending on how the energy is focused or channelled. This is one of the reasons that the energy of a Reiki healer feels different from the energy of a Qi Gong healer or a polarity therapist. For instance, in some Qi Gong healing styles, practitioners are taught to let the energy flow through the fire point in the hand. This is the Lao Gong point on the Pericardium meridian. This point is a Qi gate similar to the bubbling spring point on the foot. You can find the Lao Gong point by closing a fist and noticing where the point of the fire finger (middle finger) touches the palm. If you read the article on mudra’s you will understand that letting energy flow through this point only allows a certain type of energy. Similarly in some types of Polarity Therapy, healers use the fire and air fingers on different hands for some of the balances. Harmonics teaches understanding and usage of all natural energies and energy systems from an experiential and intellectual framework. By applying specific frequencies, we can allow the appropriate energy system (the one we’re dealing with) to balance itself either in ourselves or in a client. Reiki, Qi Gong and other systems have their own healing frequency and their correct practise can help to clear channels allowing energy to flow. Harmonics complements these by allowing the practitioner to become focused to particular energy systems in the body. This means that as a practitioner, you won’t have the problem of random switch-ing between the clients body Qi, the chakras and the emotional and mental bodies. This is the experience of one moment feeling pulsing in your hands, the next you are picking up a past life experience and then you pick up a thought pattern - with no idea how it happened. Harmonics teaches you to focus and hold your attention within individual pat-terns of energy.
