Quality of Energy.

There is a tendency to think of the Qi energies used in healing in terms of amount. That is, size does count! These ‘taken for granted’ attitudes assume:

1/ energy will be transferred from the healer to the client, be it through direct contact or distance healing, through the hands, feet or by the direction of their mind.

2/ amount of energy transferred will depend on the ability and training of the healer, experienced healers transferring copious amounts of energy and less experienced ones proportionately less.

3/ The more energy the better.

What isn’t taken into account is:

1/ the quality of the energy;

2/ how it is used

Many of us don’t think about quality of energy. We assume it is like water. However even water displays differ-ing qualities. It can come from a sea and be salty, or an esturay and be brackish, or a river or a mountain spring or through plastic pipes. So even water is influenced by the container or transfer medium. The sea is a container for water and influences it by adding salts. A mountain spring adds minerals. Plastic pipes add phthlates.

With energy, you become the transfer medium. This means that your personal development will have an influence over the quality of the Qi energy that is manifested in you and that is transmitted by you in healing. The development of a full healing spectrum is dependent on the openess of your spirit. For example - if you are a liar and block in the throat centre, you will not be able to transmit healing energies through that centre. You will transmit a slower vibration that is not useful in healing. So your ‘rainbow’ healing spectrum will change colour, or more correctly, part of the Qi will be unbalanced. This will also exert an effect on the whole of the Qi healing frequencies (colours) from other centres.

In a case where an individuals problem is caused by energetic imbalance or blockage in this centre, you will be of no use to them. Energetic healing works by resonances, not by some supposed ‘voodoo’ of either blasting through blockages or transmitting a ‘pure’ light that is independent of the vehicle that transmits it. We colour our Qi just as we colour our views, and through the same centres.

The quality of your spirit is the single most important thing in being a Qi healer. Make sure you meditate for at least 15 minutes a day and do or read something to elevate your spirit on a daily basis. (It doesn’t matter if it’s dancing or reading Jonathon Livingstone Seagull or the Tao Te Ching - whatever works for you.) If you feel that your centres are sometimes blocked, don’t think of it as a matter of the Qi atrophying or the channels being blocked and requiring exercise. This is a non-sense. All it requires is a letting go. You can’t work on these things, you just drop them. Forgive everybody everything and have compassion for all things and you will be open to a higher frequency of Qi.

Similarly when working with a client. If you feel that the Qi energy is stagnated and that the channels aren’t open - the client is either dead or you’re not tuning in. In the event that the client is alive - stop trying to percieve the Qi and allow it to happen. In Gesalt terms - get out of your own way! You will discover that the frequency of vibration speeds up enormously if you drop your views on the client and allow your Qi to ‘do the directing’. Remember that the ‘natural intelligence’ of Qi is greater than that of the practitioner.

Two other points worth remembering --

- You can’t divorce Qi from your spirit anymore than you can divorce a crayon from its colour.

- Qi is latent energy - it requires direction not force!
